What this site is
Tochigi.com is a travel guide for visitors to Tochigi Prefecture in Japan. It is published by an independent team of travel writers; it is not an official website of Tochigi Prefecture, any city government or any tourism association.
Our aim is to make a trip here easy to plan: where to go, how to get between places, when the seasons peak and what is worth paying for.
How we work
Guides are compiled from official transport and attraction information and checked against current timetables and listings where possible. Prices, opening hours and schedules in Japan are revised frequently, so we hedge figures and encourage you to confirm anything critical before travelling.
Tours and hotels are listed only if we found them live on GetYourGuide or Trip.com. Where a destination has little to book, we say so.
How the site is funded
