What you can book
Coverage for Nasu is modest. The most practical product is the Nasu Animal Kingdom entry ticket. For walkers there is a guided day hike using the ropeway to reach Mount Chausu’s crater. The rest are private-van tours from Tokyo — a family day at Animal Kingdom with an onsen stop, a day of stained glass and forest, and two-day trips that add Shiobara.
Few products have many reviews yet, so read the inclusions carefully. Most visitors still explore Nasu independently by bus or rental car.
Good to know
- The ropeway does not run in winter (roughly December to mid-March) or in strong wind.
- Private tours from Tokyo involve about 2.5–3 hours’ driving each way.
